The students did an amazing job presenting their poems! They have been working so hard and memorized their poems so well.

Ms. Bancud came to our class to be the judge and  marked students on: projection (loud voice), pacing, expression, enunciation, memorization, gestures, eye contact and posture.

The winners are Kaysha and Victoria. Congratulations!

These students will be presenting their poems on Friday, February 9th for the final public speaking competition.

Thank you!

Math: Time

Students were introduced to time and the hour. Students brainstormed a list of places where they might see the time. After, we went on a scavenger hunt around the school to look for different types of clocks. Students found lots of analog clocks around the school and digital clocks on the microwaves in the cafeteria and on the thermostat.

Students are asked to look around their homes to find different types of clocks and count how many analog/digital clocks they see!

After, students matched digital time to an analog clock.
