This morning, students explored artifacts and memorabilia from World War II

 

Phonics

Today students learned the sound, action and song for the letter Ll.

We watched bounce patrol and brainstormed a list of words that start with Ll

and then students created the letter L using play dough.

After students worked in different literacy stations where they created words using magnetic letters and worked in pairs to read words on flash cards

Math

Patterning Review

Today was our last day reviewing patterns before the test tomorrow. Students played a game where they created a pattern on the board and had their peers guess what type of AB pattern they created.

After, students created a pattern of their choice and presented it to the class.

Silent Reading

Students read chose a book to read individually. Students were asked to find letters and sight words they recognized.
